Three generations of Stuart women - grandma Nancy, two daughters, Lauren and Jenna, and granddaughter Mackenzie - keep their own secrets. Grandma Nancy has been in trouble for many years, never doing her motherly job properly; Lauren is sure that her marriage was successful, although in fact it turned out to be shaky; Jenna can't conceive a child without whom she can't think of living with her beloved husband, and Mackenzie is a teenager with all its difficulties.
